826CHI supports students 6-18 with their writing and helps teachers inspire students to write. We believe:

Brave Space Alliance

Brave Space Alliance is an indigenous-, black- and trans-led LGBTQ+ center on Chicago’s south side. We provide affirming, culturally competent, for-us by-us resources. Through mutual aid, knowledge-sharing, and community-sourced resources, we empower, embolden, and educate. Our goal is to build toward the liberation of all oppressed peoples.

Feeding America

Feeding America ensures equitable access to nutritious food for all. We partner with food banks, policymakers, supporters, and the communities we serve for an America where no one is hungry.

Heartland Alliance

Heartland Alliance advances human rights and responds to the human needs of endangered populations. We provide services to the poor, the isolated, and the displaced. Our services are comprehensive, respectful, and permanent solutions for a more just society.

Southern Poverty Law Center is a catalyst for racial justice in the South and beyond. We partner with communities to:

They never take legal fees from their clients and don’t accept government funding. I often donate knowing their fundraising goes to critical issues.”
