Why We’re Dropping “Design” from Glantz Design
I started Glantz Design with a simple mission: Make great designs. We’d never give clients designs that are “so-so”. They’d always be beautiful and purposeful.
For the past 14 years, Glantz Design has fulfilled that mission — and then some. We’ve grown from a one-person agency creating logos and presentations into a brand studio that also crafts marketing strategies, digital user experiences, and websites. We’ve evolved into something more than a design shop.
It’s time to honor that evolution. Today, I’m excited to share that our name is no longer Glantz Design.
Instead, call us Glantz.
Why change?
This change is driven by our growth. We’ve found that “design” doesn’t accurately describe our work or team anymore. We are designers, yes, but we’re also strategists, writers, and web developers. Our work is holistic and systematic. We not only create logos, but also craft content, nurture marketing programs, and build digital products.
The change is also driven by a need for clarity. As a brand studio, we believe in the specific and concrete. We pride ourselves on our ability to give our clients’ brands focus — why wouldn’t we do the same for ourselves?
If not “design,” what do you do?
Glantz is “a brand elevation studio”.
Brand elevation encompasses everything I’ve mentioned so far: holistic brand strategy and execution. Importantly, it also includes ongoing and proactive iteration. The day we launch your website or campaign is Day One. As your partner, we continually monitor performance and make adjustments for efficiency and conversion. After all, flexibility and genuine curiosity take brands to the next level.
This requires honest and enduring partnership. That’s one thing about Glantz that will never change: We always will be grounded in long-term collaboration and continual learning.
What comes next?
This year, we’re going to be our own client. Our website will be overhauled and our marketing will adopt a fresh strategy. These changes won’t happen overnight. Just like we do for our clients, we’ll be constantly launching, learning, and iterating throughout the year.
I hope you’ll follow along with us on our journey. In the meantime, you can learn more about our brand elevation approach, or dig into our brand design, web development, and marketing strategy services. Welcome to the new Glantz!
