West Town Bank & Trust has been creating long-lasting relationships with their customers since 1922. They came to us for a website redesign that combines their historic values with future-thinking ideas to take their online banking services to the next level.

Bringing Banking into the Twenty-first Century

West Town Bank & Trust is not your usual bank. They have been pushing the boundaries of business and personal banking since the 1920s, but were missing a website that showcases how they “think outside the bank.” They came to us with their classic West Town greens and one goal in mind: to make a content-heavy website feel as alive and exciting as their passion for helping businesses and individuals achieve their banking goals.

Adding Visual Interest with Creative Devices and Iconography

To start, we took inspiration from the angular shapes of the West Town Bank & Trust logo. By using these angles throughout the site, we were able to establish a tone that felt as dynamic and progressive as West Town’s mantra.

We then brought in imagery and iconography that blended well with the existing green color palette. This helped us establish a friendly and approachable style to best represent West Town’s primary audience of farmers and small business owners. Additionally, it ensured we met the accessibility needs required to properly serve West Town’s diverse client base.

More Than a Pretty Facade

Since we were updating from an old site, we first had to restructure their sitemap to include a new breadth of services and revitalize the user experience. With an incredible amount of pages to migrate, we focused on establishing a solid foundation with wireframes that allowed West Town Bank & Trust to see how they could re-purpose any legal content. From there, we took the time to update the way the content was formatted for a better user experience. Lastly, we also migrated their domain to our servers to ensure the site would be fast, secure, and easy to maintain. 

From day one, it was clear that Glantz’s approach to designing a website uniquely tailored to the products and services we offer was going to be thoughtfully executed. Our bank has really evolved from static to dynamic and purely bank-focused to forward-thinking in recent years, and this messaging simply could not have been achieved on our website without the help of Keith and his team. We frequently receive compliments on the aesthetics, simplicity and organization of our content.
