The Center for Enriched Living (CEL), a nonprofit serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, needed a website redesign that would embody their new brand identity while improving accessibility and functionality. The challenge was creating a digital experience that served diverse user groups including members, families, donors, volunteers, and staff.

Our focus was to develop a research-driven, member-focused approach that addressed CEL’s unique ecosystem where individuals often transition between roles as service recipients, volunteers, and donors. From project inception, the aim was to create improved navigation, enhanced accessibility, and streamlined content organization that would serve all user needs effectively.

Enhanced User Experience

The redesigned site features simplified navigation with Programs section prominence, directly responding to member and family priorities. On-site discovery revealed that members’ first priority was finding program information and registration details, which the new architecture addresses through strategic content organization.

Comprehensive Accessibility Improvements

The new website achieved full ADA compliance with improved web accessibility features, mobile responsiveness, and user-friendly WordPress CMS. The site now provides enhanced access to program information and support opportunities for members, families, donors, corporate partners, and staff across all devices.
