A website overhaul that affirms Chartwell’s well-established expertise and activates their beautiful new identity.
Launch WebsiteChartwell Financial Advisory is a national leader in financial consulting for middle-market companies. After 25 years in business, Chartwell rebranded and needed a new website and collateral to match.
Chartwell’s new website had to do two things:
- Bring their new identity to life in an authentic way
- Position the firm and its employees as thought leaders
A site that stands out but still fits in
Chartwell had a strong new brand but needed our help to establish how to use the elements. The company wanted to stand out from competitors without straying too far from financial industry expectations.
To activate the new identity, we employed unused elements in sophisticated ways. Evocative nature photography sets an elegant and experienced tone. We also incorporated a dark purple color, which stands out from the blues and grays Chartwell’s competitors use. Additionally, we added a subtle animation to delight the viewer while scrolling.
One message, multiple formats
Chartwell wanted to share their company mission and values by incorporating their manifesto into the new website.
After revising the manifesto to highlight the most important content, we expressed it in two formats: a video and a digital document. The content in each is complementary; they can be experienced independently or together. They’re displayed in a special section on Chartwell’s new About page.
Highlighting industry expertise
Chartwell’s new site needed to highlight their employees’ expertise. To do this, we created a section that features expert quotes from Chartwell employees with links to their biographies. It was added to various pages to spotlight mastery in different financial service areas. This section streamlines the user’s experience by immediately connecting them to the Chartwell employee best suited to answer their questions.
Improving the resource center was also critical in positioning Chartwell as a thought leader in the industry. Before, Chartwell’s content hub was simply a list of links on a page. Now, it’s a functional, filterable library. Users get a glimpse of what each resource is about on the feed to increase their interest. Additionally, resources are placed throughout the site to surface expert content.
Custom presentations with visual consistency
Having a professional, on-brand, PowerPoint presentation is also crucial for impressing prospects.
The PowerPoint template had to be highly customizable without sacrificing brand consistency. Chartwell showed us how employees adapt their presentations to work for a variety of situations. This helped us understand how to best create a template that is easy-to-use and best serves their content needs.
The PowerPoint templates are elevated in design and seamless for Chartwell employees to update on their own.
