Please excuse us as we geek out on the history of the 18 most influential typefaces. This is an excellent article that touches on the difference between typefaces and fonts, the three (or four!) categories of typefaces, and lineage of fonts we use on a daily basis. And, as you may have guessed, some of our favorites and all-time least favorite fonts are included in this list.
